RC Safety 101: Track Day Safety at TTIRC
Welcome to TTIRC! Safety is our top priority, whether you're renting your first RC car or bringing your own vintage racer. Follow these simple rules to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.
Before You Start
- Clean Cars Only: Please arrive with a clean vehicle. Dirt and debris can damage our track and create hazards for other drivers.
- Quick Safety Check: Turn on your transmitter before powering on your vehicle. Ensure the vehicle doesn't move when the transmitter is in neutral position.
- Closed-Toe Shoes: For your safety, wear proper footwear - no sandals or flip-flops on the track.
On the Track
Basic Rules
- Always check for other vehicles before stepping onto the track
- Watch for people on the track while driving - be ready to slow down or stop
- Match your speed to your skill level - start slow and build confidence
If Something Goes Wrong
- Release the throttle immediately if you lose control
- Shout "Runaway!" to alert others
- Check for other vehicles before retrieving your car
- Wait for a safe moment to step onto the track
For Families
- Children under 12 must have adult supervision at all times
- Use our designated spectator areas
- Keep young children behind safety barriers
- Consider our family rental package for a controlled introduction to RC
Rental Guidelines
- All rentals must be completed by 3:30 PM (last session starts at 3:00 PM)
- Follow all instructions during your rental orientation
- Stay within designated rental zones
- Report any issues with the vehicle immediately
Race Vehicle Safety
To qualify for race vehicles:
- Complete our driving test on the beginner track
- Demonstrate vehicle control for 10 laps
- Get marshal verification
- Follow all racing rules during your session
